Ack!

bill_the_cat

AGMA has kept a really low profile in the blog-o-sphere lately.  I’m not happy about that.

One of the things I enjoy most during my week is getting onto WordPress and reading posts from fellow bloggers.  And commenting.  I just love commenting and sharing my opinion.  Even if I don’t know anything about the subject matter, I’ll usually always have something to say about it.  Have you noticed?

Be glad that you don’t have to deal with me in person.

It’s been quite a few weeks since I’ve been able to read any of your wonderful blogs and share my AGMA “stranger than truth” wit and wisdom.  I hate that because I love reading what ya’ll are up to.  Or down to.

But if you’re fortunate to stick around on this blue planet long enough, you understand that there is an ebb and flow to things.  Life definitely has it’s seasons.

And I’m in one of “those” seasons right now.

Other pieces of life have been begging for my attention.  Some in a nice way.  Others have been a bit more cranky.  And demanding.

But I’m NOT going to be like Dobster, a blogger who was one of my very first followers.  A little over a year ago, he stopped blogging cold turkey.  One day he was working his way thought the alphabet and the next day, poof – goodbye!  He was wiped off the face of the blogging world.   I do understand that he had to attend to other, more important pieces of his life, but it was hard on his followers who enjoyed his Dobster take on life.  You kind of grow attached to your blogging buddies.

I still miss him.

So while I’m struggling to get the balance back, for better or worse, AGMA will continue to waft posts into the blog-o-sphere at her normal snails pace of one per week.  Writing keeps me grounded and my ADHD self needs that.  I’m just not able to carve out any time for reading right now.

I did spend about 5 minutes reading some posts before I started writing this morning.   It was soooo hard to limit myself, but I felt the hot breath of everything on the “needs your immediate attention” list down my neck telling me to get crackin’.

As Bill the Cat says, “Ack!”

So when I am not liking your posts and/or commenting on them, it’s not because I don’t love you.  I do!  I do!

I’ll be back, I promise!

  1. I know exactly what you mean my friend!
I’m about to enter one of those “seasons” myself – at least in a few weeks time….when I will unfortunately have to concentrate on other things that are considerably more tedious and boring than I’d like…….it’s just another example of life getting in the way again!!!!!

    • I have the answer to your coffee conundrum… As much chocolate as you want! That’s the best amount!

And I have a feeling that you will not have to work very hard on the witty comebacks. I get the feeling that the witty-ness fairly oozes from your pores!

    • I’m great – thanks! Just over committed (or maybe need to be committed…?)

I’m still going to be writing a weekly post. Of sorts. Just no time to read everybody else’s wonderful words of wisdom. 😦

Hopefully things will settle down in a spell…

  2. I’m at low tide right now – there is just nothing going on, thus nothing to write about. We are having a quiet time here and I am enjoying it immensely! I did have too many irons in the fire for a while and it’s so nice to just chill.

  3. Oh, AGMA, I’ll still be waiting! Because I feel your pain. This last two weeks Kicked. My. Butt. Too many projects and demands from others made me, too, ignore the baby that is my blog. But I’ll stick with you because you crack me up. And it’s worth the wait. ~ Lynn

    • Thanks Lynn! Hope you are recovering from the tuschy kicking!

The little gray cells are busy formulating a post for this week that hopefully brings a smile (or a smirk) to your face! It would be so easy to ignore posting on AGMA to get that little extra bit of time, but I get so much more from it in “other” benefits that I really need to make sure I, as Nike says, just do it!

      • Me, too! Thanks for the reminder! I have a writer’s motivation sign above my desk…it says, “Just puke it out!” Because that’s what ya need to do sometimes. Once you start, then the juices flow, and the passion flows out.

  4. I appreciate you letting us know you’ll be a bit off-the-grid. You are right… when a blogging buddy goes quiet, I do wonder (and worry) what’s up. Life happens. I appreciate that you will still waft your words of wit and wisdom out there (wonderful alliteration!)… even if just once in a while.

My goal remains one a week snail pace… I have no idea how some folks write 2-3 times a week and still sound brilliant. Alas, not me. Maybe not wafting words of wit and wisdom either. Oh well.

    Happy summer!

    • Still on the grid but maybe teetering on the edge of it! I’m still planning on trying to post once a week. We’ll see how it goes…

And snails pace is good. The world needs snails and jackrabbits and everything in between. I wish I could should brilliant once a week! Ha!

And I have recently been using more alliteration in my everyday writing (email, social media, etc) I’m becoming a big fan. 🙂

    • Thanks, but I’ll still be posting Little Voice. Just not reading the wonderful things other people write. Which is unfortunate because I think reading makes me a much better writer. 😦 Hopefully just a short term situation!

  5. I can certainly relate…and if the posts are too long, I can’t seem to muster up the time. My latest post has gone unread on WP blog so I think we are all in the same funk! My post is sad this time and maybe in the summertime we try to avoid sad, wish I could. 😔
