Drumroll…. Today is the first anniversary of dipping my big toe into the blogging pool. AGMA is a year old!
And this is the first time in a year I’ve reread my first post (see below…) Surprise – it’s not nearly as awful as I’d imagined it would be. I certainly was a woman of fewer words… Good thing or bad thing?
If you’re wondering how I did, I got six out of ten. But some were cheats because I knew they were going to happen. But I’m going to count them anyway. It’s my blog.
I got two likes on my first post and no comments. So I’ll ask again…
What about you? What mountains are you going to climb in 2015? What relationships will you work on mending? What promises to yourself are you going to keep? What abundant, overflowing gifts you possess are you going to share with the world?
Happy New Year to all of you wonderfully brilliant blogging buddies!
I positively chomping at the bit to read all about your adventures in 2015!
“It’s never too late to be what you might have been.”
Chewy, hopeful words penned by Mary Anne Evans (1819-1880), aka George Eliot, British novelist and one of the leading writers of the Victorian Era. I am all over that Mary Anne, you wild child you! 2014 – no resolutions – just being resolute.
The year to learn how to ride a bicycle.
The year to zip line for the first time.
The year to maybe entertain the notion of training for a marathon. Did I say that out loud?
The year to keep the promise made when I started massage school in 2008.
The year to add a little bit of sugar to some not-so-sweet relationships – ouch!
The year to visit The Clermont Lounge and Johnnies Hideaway. Yeah – I said it!
The year of long hugs, thank you very much Linda!
The year to climb a bridge…

And you too! One of the things I’m going to be resolute about in 2015 is to make more time to read my favorite bloggers. Oh yeah – you’re in that group… 🙂

Ouch – I think we just injured our rotator cuff muscles and tendons patting each other on the back. I know, I’m an anatomy geek.

Please don’t go there. At different times I had frozen rotator cuffs in each shoulder and both times it required weeks of physical therapy to unfreeze them. Not a pleasant memory, thank you very much!

Oops…sorry!! Wishing you no rotator cuff or plantar fascia issues in 2015!

You are so very kind! Thank you! It kind of looks like there are “requirements”… I’m not toot good with requirements. A wonderful blogger nominated me for something similar a few months ago and I still haven’t fulfilled the requirements. Maybe that should be one of the things I get resolute about in 2015? I will really try!

Congratulations on your Anniversary. I just began this Website venture myself, am so new I am still working on the construction and taking the Blogging 101 course. Yours was one of the first Blogs I stopped at and followed as the name and photo
caught my eye. Read your piece about the glitter takeover and have to say that throughout Christmas holiday….thought of your piece every time I found that glitter throughout the house. Stopped in today to see what you are up to.

Thanks for stopping by JoHanna! And congrats on diving into the blogging world! Oh my – I hope that the glitter thing didn’t cause too much distress. But you are wise to be wary of card sparkles… I thought I had purged all of the stray sparkles before New Years, but my birthday is coming up soon and my sister just sent me a card with glitter all over it! Nooooooo!!!

I just found your blog and thought I’d jump in and reply. I just started posting again on my neglected blog. That was a resolution of sorts. And I gave myself a big challenge, to finish 22 paintings, but that might take two years to achieve. Thanks for the fun post!

And thank you for stopping by and spending a few minutes with me! And for commenting! And YEAH for non-neglecting your blog. A double negative makes a positive right? So excited about your 22 painting challenge! If you start now, you’ll be closer to getting them done than if you start next summer right? The older I get, the faster two years seems to fly by – you’ll be done before you know it! I might just have to pop by your blog to see what kind of art you do… Thanks again for visiting!

Thanks for the encouragement! And I know what you mean about time going by. At this point 2 years is a blip. Please stop by the blog. I’ll be posting my progress on the paintings.
